Three foreigners arrested at a BPI ATM Machine after bank security personnel noticed that the men were taking longer than usual to withdraw money. The three men - Radu Minodor Sandor, 43, a Nicaraguan; Marcu Bogdan, 26, an Italian; and Petro Ioan Uveges, 44, a Romanian - tried to escape in their van but were blocked off by police forces.

Cash amounting to Php 339,300 and 152 pieces of fake ATM cards were confiscated from the suspects.

"They do the skimming or planting of cloning devices and hidden cameras in ATMs frequently used by foreigners and Filipinos. Then they harvest or withdraw money," Senior Superintendent Joel Consulta, Pampanga police provincial director said.
